HALLO GALLO live at SCHRANK8

This Sunday is the last day of Johann Kauth's work in Schrank8.
There will be live music and performances by
City Hands, Treehouse, Cotopaxi
and of course the view of
beautiful printed matter by mister Johann Kauth.

City Hands - The Hague’s own City Hands is Manuel Padding, improvising with electronics, hooked-up objects and small percussion. Meditative sonars echo through time where they collide in frantic rhythms that provide a peacefully uplifting soundtrack to a downhill ride through the cold and desolate night. Manuel releases music & other multiples through his Silver Ghosts imprint. http://silver-ghosts.blogspot.com/Treehouse - the solo project of Yutaka Hoshino, who is a steady player in the Amsterdam music underground. With electric guitar, samplers, keyboards and voice he creates eerie and dreamy compositions that make you smile. http://www.myspace.com/rockthetoyCotopaxi - this Amsterdam-based duo utilizes found objects, acoustic instruments and electronics. Their site-specific freeform improvisations are always surprising and a gentle infusion of positive energy waves. http://hakromassandro.npage.de/link_25604108.html

Johann Kauth - In Progress

Yesterday I met Johann Kauth for the first time. We will be working on arranging the cabinet this week. Which will bring some opportunities to get to know more about his work, the music scene, the audio casettes, the collages, the colours, the weirdness and his passion. It's been a dazzling energetic explosion on my living room table. It's mind blowing to see the amount of work this recent Rietveld graduate has made in a short period. Johann will have two Schrank8-exhibitions shows at the same time: San Francisco and Amsterdam.
